Where you should travel if you would like to go to the Caribbean - Blog Post #2

The Caribbean has many countries that you could explore but if I could choose any country to explore, I would have to pick the Bahamas. The Bahamas is such a lovely and clean place to visit. The religion there is pretty, and the people there are also amicable. The food is very delicious and the atmosphere of the Bahamas is very relaxed.  As the Bahamas is an Island, their diet consists are mostly of fish which includes crab or shellfish, or even farm food like potatoes and rice. Sometimes they'll even serve fried chicken! The weather is also great especially during the winter as the temperature doesn't really drop below 60 degrees. They also hold a carnival called the Junkanoo Carnival which is apart of the Bahamian culture. This carnival begins every year at the end of April and ends at the start of May.
You can scuba dive and go snorkeling with the crystal clear water. The Bahamas has all sorts of pretty fish and many other activities to do in the ocean. They also have a bunch of monuments that explain what it was like back then in the Bahamas if you are into history. You could go kayaking in the ocean which is also very pretty and a nice way to see all the fish in the clear-water. In Freeport of the Grand Bahamas, there is a garden called the Garden of the Groves that has nice waterfalls and opulent greenery that gives your mind peace.

As I mentioned earlier, the food in the Bahamas is mostly fish so they serve foods like Bahamian crawfish(basically spiny lobsters), Conch fritters, and surprisingly, lionfish. This brought a huge surprise to my face because, to be honest, I never really thought you could eat a lionfish, even if you took off the poisonous parts. The Bahamas are probably ONE of the nicest places I've ever seen on earth and I hope that whoever is reading this gets to explore the Bahamas one day.

  1. Good job on this blog post! Your description of the Bahamas was very effective and clear on what one would expect if they were to visit. Your description of the food was very well done (and made me kind of hungry!) The carnival known as Junkanoo sounds very neat as well! Good that you dived into their culture a little bit. Overall, it could you a little more detail on the Bahama's culture, but otherwise very well done!
